Exhibition by Tom Haley, local photographer of wild animals.

Family Fun Day at New City College Epping Forest, Borders Ln, Loughton IG10 3SA  
Fun for all the family, including bouncy castle, face painting, children's activities and caraft stalls. You will also be able to see beauty demonstrations, and learn how to build a wall or fix a leaky tap. FREE EVENT

Bell Tower Tours at St John the Baptist Church, 19 Church Lane, Loughton, Essex IG10 1PD

Visit the Bell Tower, learn a little about the art of bell ringing and climb to the top of the tower for good views of Loughton. Adults and children aged 8 and over only.

Music for a Summer's Evening.

The Songbirds return with a new programme following their sell-out performance last year. Tickets £15 to include light buffet from [email protected] or 07572 111387 or on the door.

*Sunday 7 June 10:30 am -12:30 pm. Homage to C A Pearson and his ‘Fresh Air Fund. From 1894 the ‘Ragged School Union’ brought the poorest children from the East End to Loughton to enjoy a day in the fresh air. Georgina Green will lead us in their footsteps, to the site of the ‘Shaftesbury Retreat’ and on to Debden Slade. (Epping Forest Heritage Trust). Meet: At the car park at the junction of Smart’s Lane and the High Road. Accessible by foot from Loughton underground station on the Central Line, just as the children did 100 years ago.

Lydia Martin, star and darling of the West End, prepares to bid an emotional farewell to an adoring public. Backstage her dressing room is bedecked with flowers from well-wishers. A colourful crowd of faces from her past- family, friends and even enemies – assemble to join Lydia on this momentous occasion as she prepares to take her final steps into the spotlight and make that last bow.In turns comic and poignant, “The Actress” examines what remains after the applause finally dies down.

The Prefab Kid - a one man play based on the book of the same name, and uniquely performed by its author.  Followed by a chance to reminiscence over a cup of tea. FREE

Kings Oak Forest Garden Sun Fest Day

Stalls (art, photography, crafts , information etc.); Have a go on the Easy Access Trail. Families welcome including people with special needs. Entrance free 


Friday 19th June 1pm to 4pm

Creative Expression Epping Forest Sunflower Group Day for people with Special Needs and their carers.

Wesley Hall , Loughton Methodist Church, Loughton High Road.

There will be music, games, art and so on. Entrance £1.00 and donations welcome

People with Special Needs who require assistance must come with someone to assist them. 


19 June - 3 July

Summer Exhibition, which is open to all artists at £5 per work, maximum of 2 depending on space.  Please contact the Art Centre for more information. Viewing is free. 

Wednesday 24 June. Tea Dance with live music including songs from the shows. Music by  Studio1UK. 

Saturday 27 June Community Safety Day at the Hope Centre, St Mary's Church, Loughton High Road. Workshops and stalls about how to stay safe at home, in the streets. The details will be updated later in the year. 


Sunday 28 June, 12am – 4pm,

Jessel Green Community Day, Jessel Drive, Loughton IG10 2EQ.

Inflatables, penalty shoot-out, soft play, fairground rides, live music and lots more for all the family. All day wrist bands available or pay per activity. Organised by Loughton Town Council.
